In the late 19th century, the Pisano and Fischer families – my maternal grandparents – arrived in the city Punta Arenas and started the Pisano y Cia. warehouses, the Austral Brewery, and the Los Retamos ranch in Bahía Felipe, right in the heart of Tierra del Fuego.
I began fishing in Tierra del Fuego in 1972 when my grandfather left me on the bank of the Oro River. When he came back to pick me up eight hours later, we had a good trout for dinner. To this day, we continue to seek out new destinations and unexplored areas brimming with brown, rainbow and brook trout.
Exceptional Facilities and Equipment
Since 2011, we’ve made fishing excursions to Tierra del Fuego, derived from our operations on the Puelo River, where we’ve run the Victoria Lodge since 1998, and the Llanada Grande Lodge since 2007.
